Vintage old antique teddy bear.”Ruby” stands about 15 inches tall ,has a straw or wood wool filled body and head ,beautiful,big, liquid like amber coloured glass eyes , and stitched features . The pads are a lovely soft, cream coloured velvet.The plush has good coverage with some thinning and balding to the arm, chest and joints. The head wobbles a bit, but is still securely attached.Overall this bear is in good condition for her age, which I think is from the 1950s. My guess is that she could be German, as they made such characterful bears.Ruby shows signs of age and love-wear.She is not intended to be used as a toy as she does not have safety features associated with modern teddy bears.She lives in a smoke free home.
