This auction is for an antique matching pair of mother and baby fluffy white wool mohair toy rabbits, on sale in plenty of time for Easter Bunny fun!
They do not have labels, but I believe them to be British made, and are likely to be by either Chad Valley, possibly Merrythought, I could be wrong.
Please take the time to view all of the images of the two rabbits because these pictures will be the most helpful part of the item description and condition report, but do please also read the written condition report and item specifics.
You will see that both of these very sweet old toys have retained their original features, including the lovely old glass eyes, painted red on their backs. The have pink nose/mouth stitching and Mummy rabbit has whiskers. Both of the rabbits, I think, are filled with a mix of wood-wool and kapok.
The adorable pair of toy bunnies came to me together with a collection of similar era antique toys, so if you like these two, please take a look at some of my other listings to “meet” some of their lifelong companions :)
In some of the images, I have dressed Mummy rabbit in some antique clothes and I have “given” baby some nursery accessories. Please let me know if you wish these items to be included in the sale because the pieces will add weight (and bulk) to the parcel and so will increase postage cost.
