~ Old Blue – Antique Terrier Dog – painted back eyes Farnell? Teddy Bear Friend
This woofly character is old blue! He is a very sweet old antique terrier dog. He likely dates to around the 1930’s but it’s hard to say as he’s little bit of a handsome mystery.
He has painted back glass eyes and stitched facial features. He has had a little darning to his tummy over the years but retains a lovely amount of mohair. He’s clearly been kept out of the sunlight as his mohair is white and a lovely strong blue shade which I think is very pretty.
He is stuffed with woodwool and kapok and is around 9 inches long. He looks really lovely sat amongst the other teds and would make an excellent companion for a special teddy bear.
I’m unsure of his make, however Farnell were renown for making various dogs and he does have a Farnell look about him. Either way I believe he is English.
He’s just patiently waiting at home for the right loving owner, and in the meantime is adventuring the garden and climbing a few trees.
