An iconic, original Steiff Jackie Jubilee Teddy, made for only two years from 1953-55. This was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Steiff registering their early famous design – Bear 55PB – at Heidenheim District Court, Germany in 1903. Available in three sizes, this Jackie is the smallest at 15 cms (6″) tall. She has her silver scripted earbutton, and the shredded remains of a sideseam label.
Distinctively round and chubby, with short stumpy legs and big feet, Jackie also has back-painted amber glass eyes, and a brown embroidered nose, mouth and claws. Plus, the signature horizontal pink stitch highlighting her nose. Woodwool-stuffed and fully-jointed, Jackie’s blonde mohair features a cute airbrushed belly button. Her felt pads are in good condition, apart from darned repairs to one paw and foot.
This adorable, celebratory bear is dressed in an old handmade knitted onesie, with a sweet beret and beaded name necklace. Thanks for looking.
