Old vintage antique teddy bear. Large vintage teddy bear.Sam is a characterful 22 inch vintage teddy bear. He is old and saggy and finds it hard to sit up properly these days due to his straw filling shifting over the years. His joint areas are most affected where there is loose and saggy “skin”, but no rips or holes…Poor old fella! He has very good fur plush coverage for his age and lovely stitched features along with glass eyes. Sam is five way jointed,with good connections, although his arms and legs are on the loose side and can not be posed easily. You can see the colour that he used to be around these joints… more of a gold colour really, but these days the majority of his body is a cream colour. He has had some repairs over the years by some caring soul ,evidenced by some stitch work around his left paw and left arm. Sam’s body is hard stuffed, again with straw and he may have had a growler put in him at one point, but sadly if so, this no longer works. Sam will need to be handled with care, preferably from the torso. All this being said, he holds himself together well. All these features are fairly typical of an old bear with a story to tell…Sam does show signs of age and lovewear, and is not intended to be used as a toy as he does not have the safety features associated with modern teddy bears.
