Lovely rare example of a 1930s Cubby teddy bear made by Chad Valley – has red printed label underneath left leg reads ” Hygenic Toys Made in England by Chad Valley Co Ltd” – some discolouring to label.
Also has original Chad Valley button at back of neck dating to 1930s – please see photos.
Has jointed neck with original orange/black glass eyes and original black stitched nose and mouth.
Stuffed with kapok stuffing throughout, with original felt pads and original black stitched claws.
Made from a reddish brown mohair, wear and tear typical of bear of this age.
