Antique teddy bear brought back from a New York flea market looking for a new home. He was affectionately names MR WIGGINS by an ex boyfriend who’s affections were not so lasting.
He’s now looking for a new home to continue his adventures.
A worldly bear who having travelled as a stowaway passenger from New York six years ago seeking a new life in Britain.
He’s likely a German immigrant to America from around 1930’s. He’s not aged so well and is loosing hair in his old age. Although his joints at working fine and he can stand and sit quite well. Despite loosing an eye he’s still easy to see more through his last remaining one and is looking for a new quite home to enjoy his retirement.
Suited in his finest clothes (believed to be original) MR WIGGINS would make an excellent addition to a collection or dinner party guest.
I have had him dated as 1930s bear, but with no marks his maker cannot be identified. Mohair furr is now patchy and in some places his straw filling is showing through.
