Tedward – Adorable 1920’s/30’s Old Antique Chiltern Teddy Bear restoration / TLC
Introducing Father Tedward, he’s a very very cute bear looking for the super special person to give him a little gentle loving restoration.
Although his originally wavy tufty mohair / alpaca has worn away a fair amount he still retains some cute patches, is still dripping with charm!!! He stands around 14inches tall, is stuffed with woodwool and kapok and is fully jointed.
He was made by Chiltern in the 1920’s/30’s, and retains lots of features .. and with some tlc he will be an amazing little poppet. His back seam needs re stitching, and could be extra stuffing if desired, but he’s lovely and saggy cuddly currently. He retains most of his velveteen foot pads along with claw stitching, but they need repairing and refilling. His hand pads are in mainly good condition, also retaining some claws. He retains all of his mouth & most of his original Chiltern nose (with the upwards stitches), and also retains beeeeeautiful big painted back glass eyes! It’s actually pleasant restoration work which I feel would be very rewarding as he’s very cute!
Father Tedward will travel to his new abode in his vintage cotton top and metal studded collar which I feel he has resided in for a long time!
He’s photographed here with his best friend Friar Plum who is also looking for a new home and needs some tlc. Could you be his new special owner to bring some happiness to life?
