Adorable Vintage 1920s Golden Mohair Jointed ” Harwin ” like Teddy Bear – 14″
This adorable happy go lucky bear is in very play worn condition.There is no makers mark but he is in the English maker Harwin & Co style . He is fully jointed and seems to have big hips making the crotch look low down and the shoulders narrower. He has large feet, slim ankles and shapely upper legs. He has vertical nose stitching and the mouth stitching looks like a “W”. He also has glass eyes. His golden fur feels like mohair and it feels like he is stuffed with woodwool. As you can see from the photos he has lost alot of fur ( probably due to being cuddled alot ) His paw and feet pads are good except for the left paw that needs repairing as the stuffing is coming out. He also has wear to the fabric ( holes ) around his nose. He will growl occasionally if coaxed but I think he wants a quite life at his age. He does not let these things hold him back from participating in bear like activities and is still a very sociable chap.( plenty of love left in him )He’s a handsome chap who just oozes charm with a capital “O” and is looking for his forever home. He mixes well with other bears and just loves the lady dolls. Please study the photos carefully as they form a large part of the description.
