Meet Sacha. This amazing little fellow carries a very early Alpha Farnell label, and could possibly be a rare panda version of the very rare Soldier bears made by Farnell as mascots for First World War soldiers. He is just 4″ tall,  with tiny glass eyes, horizontally stitched nose and mouth and pin jointed limbs which move together when you move them. His head is unjointed, and tilted slightly upwards, which again suggests he could be a type of soldier bear as they were designed to peep out of a uniform pocket. He has a blue and white early embroidered label to the back of his left leg which says ” Farnells Alpha Toys, Made In England”.  His pink mohair is patchy with general thinning. He has a beautiful, wistful expression. He is very robust for his age, is clean and fresh smelling, displays beautifully, and he would make a lovely addition to any old bear collection. Please see my other listings for more early miniature bears.
