Larger size Farnell pekingese dog soft toy dating to the 1920’s.
This Farnell standing Ppekingese dog toy measures approximately 12 inches long and is 8 inches tall to the top of his head. He is unjointed and is hard stuffed with wood wool and although he has been loved, he still retains a very good coverage of his mohair plush with slight overall thinning and bare spots and I would estimate he has retained approximately 95% coverage overall
His clear glass eyes and his black cotton nose and mouth stitching are original and he has a slightly raggedred felt tongue. Although there are no labels I am fairly certain he is a Farnell toy dating to circa 1920’s-30’s.
The only issue is that the stuffing has broken down at the top of his legs so he is a bit wobbly on his feet andhe has a small hole at the top of his front left leg which could do with a stitch or two to repair but this does not really affect his overall condition and he has plenty of charm and character and he would make
a lovely little companion dog to sit in the laps of your larger bears.
