Mary is a beautiful very early bear – pre-1920. She is 13 inches tall and fully jointed – joints are a little loose but all intact and she sits perfectly well. She is completely woodwool stuffed with a non-working growler. She is largely threadbare with smatterings of mohair – quite a bit to her legs and some of her fabric has darkened with age as to be expected. Her pads have all been replaced in felt and she has been given two new ears in the past – I would also think her eyes are old replacements. She is a lovely old girl who will arrive in her Sunday best – a very old dress and pretty bonnet – she is now looking for her forever home xxx
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage may seem a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference.
