Big Ben – Painted Back Eyes, Large c1930s English Mohair Teddy Bear
Ben is a large old teddy bear, probably made in England in the 1930s.
He’s a very sturdy teddy bear and stands around 67 centimetres tall to the top of his cupped ears.
He has glass eyes with painted backs, although one is broken which gives his face a cute lob-sided look.
He has red stitching alongside his black mouth which looks old and adds to his charm.
He’s not without plenty of faults – he’s lost fur in patches and has the old hole here and there but all in all he’s a nice weighty bear looking for a new home.
