Huge Merrythought curly gold mohair teddy bear dating from 1930’s.
This huge Merrythought teddy bear measures 27″ tall and is five ways jointed and firmly stuffed with kapok in his head and body with just a little wood wool in his snout and although he has been loved,
he still retains a very good coverage of his curly golden mohair with just slight overall thinning and a few small bare patches on his tummy by his non working squeaker and I would estimate he has retained approximately 90% coverage overall.
All of his original features are intact inlcuding his amber and black glass eyes and black cotton nose and mouth stitching and his cotton paw pads are slightly grubby but with no holes or damage and his
webbed claw stitches are intact on both paw pads. He is missing his label although you can just seethe outline of where it would have been on his right foot pad, but he is unmistakeably a pre warMerrythought bear and he is a very handsome Ted in this large size, with a lovely smiley expression, and he would make a fantastic addition to any hug of bears.
