This Chad Valley Magna bear dates to circa 1930’s and is 20″ tall and
is five ways jointed with all his joints working well. He is stuffed with kapok
in his body and wood wool in his head and although he has been loved, he is still in
very good condition with all his original features intact and a 95%+ coverage
of his gold mohair with just slight overall thinning and a couple of small bare spots.
His soft cotton pads are in generally very good condition with just one tiny hole
on his right foot pad but no other damage and he has three claw sitches on each paw
and both feet with a red and white Chad Valley Hygenic Toys labels on his right foot
dating him to the 1930’s. He has an endearing and slightly startled expression which
I think is typical of these bears and he would make a lovely addition to any hug.
