This much-loved, early jointed Steiff fox ‘Renny’ still has his earbutton c.1910. He’s woodwool-stuffed and measures 18 cms (7″) high to the tips of his ears. Lengthways, he’s 26 cms (10″) excluding tail. Renny has original back-painted glass eyes and a re-stitched nose and mouth.
There’s a little darning to his long pointy nose, and a small patched insert to his chest. Alo a few tiny darns to his body. Overall, though, Renny is a good strong character, and all his joints work fine. His mohair is thin on the ground nowadays, and faded in parts, but he has a lovely bushy tail, and an alert, foxy face. Thanks for looking x.
