Meet Lawrence, a large and handsome grey/cream teddy bear who, I think, is probably a Hermann bear from Germany. He is 24″ tall. He has most of his fur remaining (a few worn areas – see pics) but it is a little greyer than it probably was originally and it is flattened/a little matted in places where he’s been cuddled for so many years. His paw pads, snout and inner ears are all of a shorter, shaven fur (I think he’s mohair) and the fur is almost entirely gone from his upper paw pads (no holes, though). He has his original amber glass eyes and brown nose and mouth stitching. He is firmly stuffed throughout (feels like straw or wood wool as it’s crunchy) and, although he is fully jointed, all but his right arm are a little stiff to move and don’t fully rotate – his head is the same, with some limited movement slightly to each side. He does have a growler, which still works, although it is rather intermittent and you have to rock him right over from front to back in order to make it work. I’m not sure of his age – 1940s-50s perhaps? Lawrence is a very handsome chap who is looking for a new home. He is quite large and heavy so I’m erring on the side of caution and suggesting postage will be 12.98 (Parcelforce 48) but if it’s any less in the end, I will refund the difference. Really sorry but I will only post within the UK. Will post on the nearest Saturday to receipt of payment.
