A well loved pair of old teddy bears, who have been together forever.They have lots of wear but are just so charming.I bought them 20+ years ago from a antique fair.We named them the officer and his lady ,Bert and Gert.
Both are very well loved.
Bert is 20 inches tall, he has glass eyes .non working squeaker in tummy.He has lots of restitched repairs to his body .He is missing his ears .His Head and one arm are now sewn on to his body.pads are recovered or repaired.He seems to be front seam finished.He is completely straw filled and a chunky bear.He has split seam on foot and seam on back of head.
Gert was once a blue bear but is now faded.she is 19 inches tall.She has a squeeze musical movement in her tum .which works with odd notes.missing ears, fully jointed.she has glass eyes, straw filled head, soft filled body and limbs.All her pads have wear one is missing and she has lost filling in foot, split seam on inner leg.
Bert wears his regimental cap and has his vintage toy tinplate trumpet made by fairylite.
Gert wears a vintage dress and bonnet , and a old boot that covers her foot.
Both these bear require restoration or if like me love them as they are.
They have lived in a totally smokefree home .
