Meet Constance, a lovely old Chiltern teddy bear from the 1920s-30s. She is 20 tall and has a few patches of her mohair remaining, with lots of bald areas. She has one original paw pad remaining, but the others have all been replaced, but a very long time ago. Her head is stuffed with wood wool, but the rest of her is filled with something softer and, with her chubby tummy, Id say shes been re-stuffed at some point. She is jointed and her legs and neck are working smoothly, but her arms are a bit stiffer and are stitched at the top. One leg has been re-stitched, rather untidily, up the front seam. Her nose and mouth stitching is original, but she has a pinkish stain (perhaps makeup) around her nose and mouth and under her chin, which Ive tried to photograph. Her dark amber glass eyes are lovely, but not original – they are on wires and a little loose. Despite her little issues, Constance is a lovely bear who is looking for a new home.Really sorry, will only post within the UK – no international postage.
