This lovely vintage dog was made by Merrythought during the early 1930s (label still attached on side of dog and reads “REGd DESIGN Merrythought Hygenic Toys Made in England”.
He is very sweet and is made from a gold coloured mohair and stuffed with wood wool throughout. He has a non working squeaker in his side. He has orange/black glass eyes which are on wire shanks and has his original brown stitched nose and mouth.
One of his ears is a slightly different colour gold to the other, but this matches his tail – so think this is all original.
He measures approximately 9″ in height from base to tip of his ears and approximately 9″ in length from the tip of his nose to the tip of his bottom!!
