Very old bear looking for a new loving home

Poor old Cecil is blind, but he’s certainly not dumb…..if you listen carefully perhaps he will tell you the story of his life. It’ll be long and interesting because he is now somewhere between 81 and 90 years old. This is confirmed by the Merrythought Wishbone Button in his left ear which dates him between 1930 and 1939
I’m named him Cecil because it means ‘blind’ but he would love it if you give him some eyes, restore his sight, and re-name him – he’s such an easy going bear!
Cecil’s previous owner felt it was time for him to look for a retirement home – perhaps you can offer it to him? All he needs is a comfy chair in a warm place! (and maybe a new jumper or bow)

He feels like he has a growler in his tummy, but it’s no longer working
He’s still quite furry, but lots of bare patches!
Right ear needs a few stitches
Left hand is coming apart at the wrist – see photos – lots of stitches needed here! From this you can see he is stuffed with some sort of soft stuff like kapok
These are not ‘faults’ as such, but all part of his character!
Lovely kind patient bear – please consider carefully before adopting as Cecil deserves the best of new homes!
