RARE Mr Rhodes MOON EYED 1920 Chad Valley Bear Old Antique English Teddy Button
Mr Rhodes is a special Ted! He dates to around 1920 and was made by the English company Chad Valley. He is a Rare moon eyed teddy! He stands 19inches tall, is fully jointed and stuffed with woodwool and kapok. He’s in all original condition, covered in mounds of biscuit blonde, original pads in fantastic condition with original claw stitching and card lined feet (I love card lined feet!). Mr Rhodes also retains his original facial stitching, working squeaker, original glass moon eyes and very early blue chad valley button in his ear!!!!!He is a perfect example of an antique Teddy in excellent condition, he’s nearly 100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – I think he’s wonderful. I don’t think my photographs do justice to him, but i’m happy to send more if requested.Mr Rhodes enjoys a potter around the garden, and also likes to make sure Betty the cat is ok. After all his pottering he likes nothing more than hopping back onto the shelf with his teddy buds (one of which – a bellows Chiltern called Jemima is also looking for a new home). He’s now ready to make new teddy friends and explore new turf.He will travel to his new home in his vintage knitted outfit.The photographs form part of the description so please look at them carefully.
