Mooneye Chad Valley + 1920 Blue Button Old Antique Mohair Teddy Bear – Mr RhodesMr Rhodes is awonderful old English teddy bear, made by Chad Valley around 1920.He’s quite a large bear and stands around 50cm tall. He is fully jointed and stuffed with kapok. All his pads are original and in really great condition – his feet are card-lined.He has the typical nose stitching of early Chad bears along all his original claws.He has also kept hold of his early 1920 blue button which reads Chad Valley Hygienic Toys and dates him to around 1920.His squeaker is still loud and his joints are firm.His glass eyes are also original and are the lovely sought after moon eye yellow onesHis golden mohair coverage is very very good and is clean and fluffy. In fact other than a small patch of wear around his squeaker, I would say that hes hardly lost any since he was made. Being incredibly critical, hes lost a bit of stuffing from the tops of his arms (where hes been picked up and carried) and his nose isnt as firm as it once would have been, but I find those bits endearing.I think Mr Rhodes is really stunning and would be a special addition to any hug.All offers considered andI alwayscombine postagecosts where applicable.Any questions please message me :-)
