For sale here is a vintage teddy bear from Chad Valley Co Ltd.
Although I am not 100% I believe the material is mohair.
The bear has undergone some restoration in its lifetime and so there are some signs of this. I believe the body has been refilled but the head may have the original straw. The pads on the hands appear to have been replaced.
The bear is jointed, with some joints being looser than others. Much of the original material has worn off. Overall this bear is well used and shows this.
