Stanley is a darling, large old mohair Chiltern bear dating to the 1920s or 1930s. He is 18″ tall with clear backed glass eyes and a neat hand stitched nose with the typical upstitchong at each end typical of these early Chiltern bears. He has one side of his mouth stitching missing. His foot pads are in very poor condition and his paw pads also need some repair work. The top of his left leg, at the back, needs a repair as his joint disc is exposed. He is straw filled and has a loud working growler in his tummy. With a little restoration he could be back to his former glory. He is clean and fresh smelling and would make a very sweet addition to any old bear collection.
