This very unusual and very large vintage teddy bear, I believe was made during the 1940s.
His limbs are jointed and he is made from a mixture of very short gold coloured mohair and a black velvet material with unusual plush curly pink material pads. He has shorter pink mohair on the inside of his ears.
He has orange/black glass eyes and he has a very large protruding snout with black stitched nose and mouth!! He has very large ears and he measures a very impressive 30″ in height. He does have rather chubby legs which go in rather a lot at the ankle with very chubby feet – please see photos!
He is stuffed with wood wool stuffing throughout. He is quite grubby on the pink and gold mohair parts and these could do with a good clean.
The gold coloured mohair on his chest is balding nowadays!!
