Very loved but lovely 1930’s BLUE mohair Farnell teddy bear for tlc
This early blue Farnell teddy dates from circa 1930 and is a lovely looking bearwith bags of character but he does need some tlc as you can see from the photos.He stands at 15″ tall and is stuffed with kapok in his body and wood wool in his arms, legs and head and is five ways jointed with all his joints working smoothly so he can be nicely posed.
All four of his pads are missing as is one ear and both his eyes and the wood wool stuffing is empty in his hands and feet. The backing fabric is intact and complete aroundhis hands and feet so he would need the pads replacing and topping up with stuffing.He was originally a turquoise blue colour but he only has sparse patches of his mohair plush remaining as you can see in the photos but despite any damages, he is still essentially sturdy and with a bit of work he could be restored to some of his former glory.
