A wonderful, velvet Farnell Dinkie dog designed by Chloe Preston c.1920s. Dinkie was originally a rare blue colour, as can be seen inside his ears and around his seams. He has a swivel head and stands 9 cms (3.5″) high. Stuffed with kapok, Dinkie has internally-wired legs – and one of the wires has slightly worn the velvet nap to his right leg, otherwise he’s in lovely condition. Dinkie has retained his original, comical glass eyes and nose stitching. He’s a delightful little character wearing a red, white and blue striped neck ribbon, which is a more recent addition.
