This gorgeous Woppit has been in my collection for many years, inherited from my Mother.This bear is rare, very few survived in this condition.This Bear was made by Merrythought in 1956.He was part of the Robin Comic collection.Made from 1956-1957.There is a bear from the same batch made exhibited in The V and A Museum.November last year one sold at Auction for 900 with his label.Woppit became famous by Donald Campbell who named his Bear Woppit, Mr Whoppit.He was plucked from Coniston Water minutes after his sad death in 1967.This Mr Whoppit was later sold in 1995 at Auction by Donald’s Daughter and realised 800.Now about my Woppit.He has no holes, or bare patches.He has slight fade to his ears.His felt foot, has the Merrythought logo.His original red felt jacket has original white buttons.The jacket still has its beautiful bright red colour.Bear has been kept in a dark cabinet.I am selling at a very realistic price for an amazing bear.I shall be very sad to see him go.
