Bert -1920s? CUTE Mystery Teddy Bear Old, Antique, in vintage clothes.Aww this smiley little chap is Bert! He’s a really cute old mystery bear. He stands just under 20inches tall, is fully jointed and stuffed with woodwool and kapok. He has long arms, strong snout and pinched in fluffy ears. He likely dates to around the 1920’s, he has replacement glass eyes, retains his original facial stitching, original claw stitching and excellent condition original rexine pads. He’s doing well for his age with not much aging other than some stitches to the base of his head where it meets his neck disc. He is covered in really fluffy warm amber mohair, and will travel to his new home in his snuggly vintage angora knitted cardie. He’s a mystery ted to me but i’m sure someone will know who made him as he does have a pretty distinctive look to him.Bert is a very sweet ted, who seems very happy, and i’m sure has seen many things in his life. He’s currently quite happy trotting round the garden and catching up his with his good friend Pearl (also looking for a home), but is now looking to make even more friends and hopes the right person out there has a little spot for his almost 100 year old self. x
