This teddy bear belonged to my aunt and he was given to her when she was 2 years old as a prize for her fancy dress costume as “mustard seed” in 1929.

He is 12 inches high.

He is made of fur fabric which is mainly brown but in some creases at his joints there is a pink tinge to the fabric.

His pads are made of brown velvet and the muzzle looks to be worn back fur fabric from lots of cuddling!

He has glass eye and his right eye is loose in its socket.

He has some kind of squeezable music box in his tummy which if you squeeze and squeeze again appears to possibly make a very small musical note/sound but I’m  sure this is not truly working properly.

My aunt who was a primary school teacher in London wrote a card with his history on it for me so that I understood his significance.

She also later in her 80’s copied a poem from a village newsletter about a much loved teddy which I have kept together with this bear.

I have no-one in my family to pass on this bear to so I am hoping I can find him a new home.

UK bidders only please
