Lovely old early Pedigree teddy bear made during the 1940s.
Teddy is made from a blond coloured mohair, although she has lost most of this nowadays, especially to her front, only maintaining approximately 30%. She will come fully dressed in her little cream knitted dress and knickerbockers to keep her warm!!
I believe her to have been made during the 1940s and is an earlier example of a Pedigree teddy bear as she has a very pointed snout.
She has replacement orange/black glass eyes and a black stitched nose and mouth.
She is fully jointed although these are a little loose, and she is stuffed with a mixture of wood wool and kapok stuffing, with a non working squeaker in her tummy.
She measures approximately 18″ in height and has replacement felt pads, and her cardboard joint is slightly visible by her left arm.
She does have some water marks on her tummy, face and especially to her left arm – please see photos.
Once cleaned up and a little tlc, she will make a lovely addition to a teddy bear hug, or simply look wonderful displayed by herself!!
