This is Petal, She’s a 20″ 1930/40’s Chiltern bear with wonderfully soft honey blond mohair fur. She’s a gorgeous bear with such a sweet expression and she comes to you perfectly ‘hug ready’ as she has been very carefully cleaned, restored and dressed.
She is five way jointed and all the joints work well. She’s had a thorough clean and smells nicely of bear (no strong perfume smells) Her fur can easily be combed through….she has some gentle thinning of fur all round and a little sparse area on the back of her head so please do take a look at all her photos. On the whole she still has a delightful amount of fur especially considering her grand old age….
She has Large amber coloured glass eyes and they are secure. She is perfectly filled with wood wool in her head and her body, arms and legs are filled with kapok. Her cloth paw pads are all original and in good condition. I have restored her foot pads by reinforcing them inside with fabric…the paw pads were stitched back on as original so the repairs cannot be seen. She has had all her claw stitching replaced and a few stitches added to her nose.
Petal comes with her vintage white cotton wrap and hand made cotton bloomers…She also comes with a pink vintage bell around her neck and silk ribbon ties for her wrist and ear.
