This is ‘Millie’ she’s an 18″ 1930’s Chiltern Bear and she’s in fabulous vintage condition…She’s been very carefully cleaned and smells nicely of bear! Her fur is in good condition and she has a lovely covering of soft blond fluffy mohair fur. There are some areas of fur loss so please do have a look carefully at all the photos as they also form part of the description. However I consider her to be in lovely vintage condition considering her age.
I am a professional antique bear restorer (please see my profile page for more information) and I use all traditional materials to match the originals where possible.
She has had her left ear resewn and some kapok has been added to her arms, legs and body.
Millie has her original amber coloured glass eyes, they have been re sewn and are now nice and secure.
Her soft velveteen paw pads have a little amount of wear but I consider them to be in good condition and there are no holes.
Her head is filled with wood wool, and her body with kapok.
Millie is 5 way jointed and they all work well.
She comes with her very pretty long length antique dress, Daisy garland and ribbons. The antique dress has some tiny pin prick holes dotted here and there but they do not detract from how beautiful this very fine cotton dress is.
Millie is a gorgeous Chiltern bear and will come to you clean, restored and in a lovely ‘hug ready’ condition.
She will come protected in a strong cotton drawstring bag, bubble wrapped and in a new strong cardboard box. For uk delivery she will be sent by signed for special delivery with insurance to cover her full value, For international orders she will be sent via eBay’s Global shipping programme.
If you aren’t delighted with your bear you are welcome to return her to me for a full refund…(buyer pays return postage)She comes from a smoke free home.
