This listing is for ‘Hope’ a gorgeous Antique/Vintage W.J.Terry Teddy bear from the 1930s. Hope is a beautiful bear with the classic W.J.Terry characteristics of huge glass eyes, large cupped ears and that endearing upturned muzzle!She is 23 inches tall and has the most gorgeous soft and fluffy honey blond mohair fur. Overall she has a stunning amount of fur coverage but she does have some fur loss to the back of her head so please do study the photos as they form part of the description.She is in stunning condition considering her age…..She is 5 way jointed and all joints move well and feel very secure. She has been very carefully cleaned and smells nicely of bear (no strong perfume smells) There are no areas of matted fur whatsoever and it can be easily combed through……Her paw pads have been replaced, her foot pads have old vintage replacements and her paw pads have been recently replaced with vintage fabric and match very nicely. She has beautiful large glass eyes which were originally painted on the backs but some of this has now worn off, both eyes are very secure. She has all her original nose and mouth stitching intact and she has claw stitches to her feet but there are no claw stitches to her hands……She is completely filled with wood wool so she is quite a weighty girl! She has had some internal reinforcement to the fabric on a little area on her back but it is not very noticeable and the fabric is nice and secure now….She comes complete with her beautiful outfit of Hand made knickerbockers (made with vintage fabrics and silk chiffon ribbon)…..pretty summer dress, Hand made handbag (made with super soft vintage French linen, lace and silk chiffon ribbon and it is also lined with satin)…..hand made silk chiffon pompom for her wrist and extra silk chiffon ribbon to tie around her head. (Please note that the other props in the photos such as the armchair, mirror and hanger are not included in the sale) She will come carefully wrapped in a strong cotton drawstring bag, and boxed with bubble wrap and posted by Parcelforce next day signed for delivery with insurance to cover the full value.If you aren’t delighted with your bear you are welcome to return her to me for a full refund…(buyer pays return postage)She comes from a smoke free home.
