This beautiful and unusual teddy bear was made by The Merrythought Company during the 1940s and is all original and in lovely condition.
He is fully jointed – all joints are lovely and tight and he is made in a sparse blond coloured mohair. He still has his brown/black glass eyes and original black/brown stitched nose and mouth, which are sewn onto a shaved muzzle.
He is stuffed with kapok stuffing, with wood wool in his nose. He has all his original cloth pads (just a slight water mark on his left pad) and original black stitched claws on each pad.
He has his Merrythought label on his left foot pad which reads “Merrythought Hygenic Toys Made in England”.
He has a non working squeaker in his tummy.
He is a lovely chap with a very appealing face and in need of a new home!!
