Joseph |1920’s English Bear – likely Old Antique Chiltern Teddy
Introducing Joseph. He’s an early English bear dating to around 1920 making him around 100.He stands 19inches tall toe to ear tip, is firmly weightily stuffed with woodwool, and has a lovely strong shape. He has a very old rattly growler in his tum which makes little growls when you shake him. He has card lined feet, original stitched facial features, and really pretty painted back glass eyes (I love them!). He also retains his original ribbon to his neck which i’m always happy to see!I love to think of the adventure these teds would have been on and what they have seen seen !! .. if only they could talk.He’s such a cute teddy chap and I hope he finds a special place to sit very soon. I have various bears listed and i’m happy to combine postage.
