Mabel is a lovely old Merrythought bear who probably dates to the 40’s – she has her original Hygienic Toys label attached to her footpad. She is 17 inches tall, fully jointed & largely kapok stuffed with woodwool to her muzzle – she has a non-working growler. Her felt pads are original with some nibbles – the largest one is on the footpad with her label – she has also had a few little stitched repairs to her pads. Her face is lovely but her ears look slightly odd – one has clearly been repositioned wrongly – she would look better with them sorted out & she wears a bonnet as she is a little self-conscious. She has a lovely covering of mohair – sparse to her main body but rich & luxuriant elsewhere – she is a good 70% covered. Mabel will come as pictured in her dress & bonnet – she is a lovely old girl in need of a home – can you help??? xxx
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage m a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference.
