This old teddy bear sits at 4 inches tall. He has no IDs. I’ve seen little Schuco bears which looked a lot like this fellow – but, I can only speculate that might mean this fellow had the same origin. I do not truly know who made him, I only can confirm he’s from the 1920s. He also resembles a lot of tiny mascot bears soldiers would be gifted during the world wars.

He’s a beautiful worn and sad looking bear full of character and charm. His legs and arms articulate, while his head is not jointed. You can see that the joints on his bottom legs are coming very loose – two white pins have been shoved into each of his of his back legs in order to keep them in place(although they do both still articulate well). He has been stuffed with wires(which can be very apparent if you take the pins out of his legs, the legs both drop off and you can see a singular, rusted old wire which once connected both of his legs together). I believe his faded neck ribbon to be original. (A lot of early Schucos animals also came with pink ribbons, which would often fade into this beige. )This faded and worn bear was also once yellow – like a Pooh bear! Smoke free home. Chair not included with this purchase.

I’ll accept a return if you decide he isn’t the bear for you! Ensure you send him with signature required delivery. Buyer pays return postage. I will be sending him using a 1st class ‘signed for’ method, although ebay isn’t currently letting me add that delivery method option!
