Very pretty antique teddy bear from the 1930’s, with the embroidered ‘Merrythought, Hygienic Toys, Made in England’ label on her left foot pad. She has a good covering of light blond mohair with some wear consistent with age. Five-way jointed, with a non-working growler in tum, she is stuffed with straw and kapok and has immaculate wool felt paw pads. Large glass eyes and original nose and mouth stitching. Measuring 13″, she comes wearing an old King George VI coronation medal on Union Flag ribbon and is in great, clean condition.
