Introducing Hattie, a dear old ‘Chiltern’ Hug Me bear, I’d say she is dating from around late 40’s early 50’s. She doesn’t have any labels.
Total length is 16 inches approximately.
Made of a rich cinnamon/tan colour mohair. There is balding over her face such as her face, head, ears etc however I feel it all adds to her character.
She has undergone a gentle restoration process which included cleaning, replacement pads (remnants of the original left & protected underneath), replacement matched eyes. She has her original nose & mouth.
There is Squeaker (doesn’t feel like a growler) in her tummy but it long ceased working. She is filled with wood wool and kapok (in paws).
She is a little loose in the joints, but all 5 joints are working well and appear to be secure. Needs help to sit up!
Importantly, Hattie has been gently cleaned, dry, dust free, has no unpleasant odours & free of any creepy crawlies! Recuperation took place in a non smoking home.
Hattie will travel in her old hand knitted red cardigan (she came to me in) so you can decide if you wish to use it or not.
She will arrive via Royal Mail, Signed For service.
