Heres Hattie, a dear old Chiltern Hug Me bear dating from around late 40’s early 50’s. She has no labels. Total length is 16 inches approximately.
Made of a cinnamon/tan mohair, which is balding in places such as her face, head, ears etc however she hasn’t lost her good looks, as it all adds to her character, I feel.
She has undergone a gentle restoration process which included cleaning, replacement pads (remnants of the original underneath), replacement matched eyes & a replica thread nose.
There is growler in the tummy but it is not working. She is filled with wood wool and kapok (in paws).
She is a little loose in the joints, but all 5 joints are working well and appear to be secure.
Importantly, she is clean, dry, dust free and free of any creepy crawlies and has been living in a non smoking home.
Hattie will arrive in her hand knitted red cardigan so you can decide to allow her to wear it or not.
She will arrive boxed, via Royal Mail, Signed For service.
