ENDEARING LITTLE ANTIQUE ‘YES NO’ MONKEY
This cheerful little antique ‘Yes No’ monkey does not have a makers label to identify him by, but I think that he is probably of German origin and dates from sometime between 1940 – 1950. He measures approximately 9 inches in height standing up and 6½ inches sitting down. He is made of orange-brown mohair which retains approximately 97% covereage and very good unfaded colour. His hands and feet are made of airbushed felt and he has wire armatures inside his limbs. His limbs can be moved and posed in a variety of positions for display. He is filled entirely with wood wool. His face is made of pressed/moulded felt which is very clean and retains very good original unfaded colouring and well defined airbrushed facial features. His chin is made of white mohair and he has large felt ears. He has (original) black boot button eyes.His ‘yes no’ mechanisim functions perfectly . . . his tail moves easily (and is still securely attached to his body). His head nods up and down and shakes from side to side distinctly, smoothly and easily.Please take the time to look at the listing photos before bidding as they form an important part of the description. He is very clean and has no musty or unpleasant odours. He has the odd very small insignificant dust mark on his felt hands and feet which are only visible under close scrutiny in good light. He has very minor light general playwear commensurate with age, but is otherwise in very good condition.He is wearing a vintage green ruffled braided collar and gold bell which suit him well, but are not original to him. HE IS AN ENDEARING & CHEERFULL LITTLE MONKEY GENTLE CHARM.
HE DISPLAYS BEAUTIFULLY & WOULD BE A WONDERFUL COMPANION FOR A LONELY ANTIQUE BEAR.He has an adorable happy smile and is a cheerful little monkey with a great deal of gentle charm. If you would like any further details or photos please don’t hesitate to ask . . .
