Eliza – RARE 1930s Large Original PEACOCK Teddy Bear – LABEL, Old, Antique Dress
Now THIS is a bear! Introducing Eliza. I am not overstating this when I say she is stunning! Eliza is the type of ted you’ve expect to see behind a glass window in a museum as she is in remarkable condition. She was made in the 1920’s-1930’s by the British company Peacock. Peacock ceased trading in the late 1930’s, and this has meant there aren’t all that many teds left standing, and those that are, are quite commonly very well loved. Eliza is a large ted standing around 28 inches tall from foot to ear tip. She’s fully jointed, and stuffed with woodwool and kapok. She is super furry covered in masses of warm luxury amber mohair. She retains her original felt pads, claws, stitched facial features, glass eyes and peacock label firmly secured to her paw pad. She feels lovely to hold, I have great affection for her, maybe it’s her size and shape? she’s just very sweet.Eliza is dressed in an antique cotton dress, with a label stating loomed by Mrs Parkinson. She enjoys a relax in the garden when the weather is pleasant, and also a catch up with her chum Florence (who is also listed for sale). She’s now happily waiting until her new special owner comes along who wants to maybe celebrate her 90th and 100th birthdays?As mentioned below, layaway may be possible, please contact me using the business seller information at the bottom of the page. xPlease note the photographs form part of the description so please study them carefully.
