Ed | 20″ c1940’s Chiltern Teddy w/ growler
“Oh look at Ed! What a handsome ted. I love his size! You don’t tend to find this style in this size!!”
This is Ed! He is an English Hugmee ted made by Chiltern in the 1940’s. He measures around 20 inches tall. He is fully jointed and in all original condition! He is covered in lots of honey mohair, weightily stuffed with woodwool, with original glass eyes, wonderful original facial stitching, and brilliant original rexine pads!
He’s a lovely bear as you don’t see many in this style in this size (they are normally smaller!). Ed is a definite character, his wife Mimsy does keep him busy .. but he still manages to have a good chat with his working squeaky growler.
Ed was clearly one of the hug favourites as he was given his own small scarf – so dashing ;-)
He enjoys his time outside while he waits, but also looks forward to the day he finds a new owner to make memories with. He’s shown with his wife Mimsy who is listed separately.
