Sailor Ted | 24″ 1920/30’s Chiltern Hugmee Bear
This lovely old big bear is Sailor Ted. He is a Chiltern Hugmee Teddy Bear dating to the late 1920’s-30’s. He measures around 24 inches tall, and is in all original condition.
He has lots and lots of Chiltern’s beautiful luxury, soft, curly, blonde, clean mohair, which is generally very well attached. However, he does also have some areas which are shedding fur, so you must be careful with handling him.
Sailor Ted is fully jointed and stuffed with woodwool and kapok. As mentioned he’s all original, with painted back glass eyes, stitched facial features, and superb velveteen pads with no holes, and card lined feet! He also has a quiet working “punch” squeaker.
He’s obviously been enjoyed, and is dressed in cute Sailor top! I do really love this style of Chiltern, they are just so friendly and adorable, and with Ted being such a large bear i’m sure he would soon become a favourite of any hug.
He’s shown here with his German friend Florence, who’s also available for adoption and listed separately.
