Bracken was manufactured in England, by Merrythought, in the 1930’s. He is 17″ (44cm) tall, made of very light gold/blonde mohair. His head is filled with woodwool, his body and limbs with kapok. He has his original linen pads with webbed stitching on his paws. He has glass eyes. Bracken still has his Merrythought label on his foot and button in his ear – but the celluloid covering has gone.Bracken’s mohair is thinning, most noticeably on his arms, his tummy and above his right eye. His growler no longer works – but that’s a very common problem amongst older bears. The bow he wears is not original. For his age Bracken is a nice clean bear in good condition with no odours – he comes from a non-smoking home. Please ask if you’ve any questions.
