This lovely vintage dog was made during the 1930s and measures approximately 12″ in height (from top of his head to his feet) and approximately 16″ in length (from bottom to the tip of his nose). His head is rather wobbly underneath his ribbon, but this does not affect his appeal!!
He is filled with wood wool throughout and has metal rods going down through each of legs so that he can stand alone. He still has his original clear glass eyes with painted backs and also his original black stitched nose (longer outer downward stitches) and mouth.
He is made from a sparse blond coloured mohair although not much remaining nowadays and he has a longer brown mohair ears and tail. He has a non working squeeze box in his side
His previous owner has “bandaged” his poorly front left leg – wood wool and metal rod are visible. He has another bandage at the top of his left leg also.
He has several holes – please see photos for condition – but he is in rather good condition considering he is over 80 years of age!!
