This is Buster. A whopping 28″ antique Steiff teddy bear, no button. Buster is a very old bear, circa 1910, and has clearly received lots of love, with subsequent repairs over the years – but is still a strong old boy and he’s retained all his wonderful appeal and charm. Buster has a pronounced hump, very long limbs, original eyes, some claws stitching, considerable wear to his mohair – generally fair coverage, better to back view than front, inoperative growler.I have provided a lot of photographs and a fairly detailed condition report, so please do take time to view all of the photographs and to read item details/condition report, prior to bidding.Buster is offered for sale complete with either his leather boxing gloves, or the beautiful velvet frock coat/jacket, seen in some of the images.
