This dear old teddy bear is clearly very well loved and will require some TLC in order to restore her to something closer to her original condition.
To be fair, she is well over one hundred years old, so some of the wear is to be expected.
I always planned to have her restored, but as this has not happened, it is time for her to find her ‘forever’ home.
I think it likely that this darling teddy is of British origin, and is possibly by Teddy Toys.
She has features similar to some of their teddy bears, but the shape of her head, pronounced hump to back and other characteristics do, at least to me, indicate an early British teddy bear.
She is sold complete with the charming antique costume she is seen wearing in some of the images.
